Last Days Apostasy

2 Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first..."

2 Timothy 4:3-5 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry."
The following books and charts give a clear depiction of what Scripture calls "the falling away." This is also known as the apostasy of the endtimes church - the Laodicean church found in Revelation 3:14-22

14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
It is critical to understand that Jesus Christ will not return to set up His earthly kingdom until this mass exodus of faithless members of the visible church occurs. Many are deceiving and being deceived. Please take the time to go through the information below and share it as much as possible.  Burning Down the Shack - James De Young

How the 'Christian' Bestseller is Deceiving Millions

Order: Monergism Books

Description: Who would have thought that a small paperback novel, written by an unknown, could land on the bestsellers list for over 100 weeks, altering millions of readers’ perceptions of god?

Since its release in 2008, The Shack, by Paul Young, has been praised as an amazing source of spiritual renewal. But is the bestseller all it seems? Are Young’s views orthodox? More to the point… are they truth?

In Burning Down ‘The Shack,’ James B. De Young, Th.D., a graduate-level professor of Greek and biblical studies for 30 years, shows just how spiritually flimsy The Shack truly is, and how its enticing yet false doctrine is stealthily cracking the foundations of countless Christians’ faith—and rotting away their very concept of the true God. With the skill of an investigator and the heart of a counselor, De Young addresses essential issues about biblical doctrine and scriptural truth. Bringing to light a series of troubling questions about The Shack and its author, De Young clearly shows how this runaway hit is little more than a runaway from truth.

“In Burning Down ‘The Shack,’ Dr. James B. De Young has done an incredibly important favor for evangelical Christians everywhere. His evaluation of the theology and deceit involved in The Shack is on target and critical for today’s world.”

~ Paige Patterson, President of the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

Faith Undone - Roger Oakland

The emerging church: a new reformation or an end-time deception

Order: Lighthouse Trails Research

Description: Is the emerging church movement just another passing fad, a more contemporary approach to church, or a bunch of disillusioned young people looking for answers? In fact, it is actually much broader and is influencing Christianity to a significant degree. Grounded in a centuries-old mystical approach, this movement is powerful, yet highly deceptive, and it draws its energy from practices and experiences that are foreign to traditional evangelical Christianity. The path that the emerging church is taking is leading right into the arms of Roman Catholicism and ultimately to an interfaith perspective that has prophetically profound ramifications.

A Wonderful Deception - Warren Smith

The Further New Age Implications of the Emerging Purpose Driven Movement

Order: Lighthouse Trails Research

"A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?" Jeremiah 5:30-31

Five years after writing Deceived on Purpose: the New Age Implications of the Purpose Driven Church, former New Age follower Warren Smith continues to reveal how Christian leaders wittingly or unwittingly are leading the church into a spiritual trap. A "Wonderful" Deception examines church metaphors, concepts, and beliefs that are essentially the same as those being used in today's New Age teachings. And while biblical prophecy is being minimized and explained away, the "new science" is being used to prepare the world--and the church--to accept a New Spirituality and a false New Age Christ. This book explains how all the puzzle pieces are in place for the strong delusion described in 2 Thessalonians. A "Wonderful" Deception pierces right into the heart of this deception while preparing believers in Jesus Christ to effectively stand against it.

Some key areas addressed in this book:

*How a "broad way" Christianity is deceiving many in the church
*How the "new science" will try to prove that God is "in" everything
*How Rick Warren continues to align himself with New Age sympathizers
*How attempts have been made to discredit critics of the Purpose Driven movement
*How the best-selling novel, The Shack, fits into the "wonderful" deception
*Ten scriptural reasons not to be connected with the Purpose Driven movement

For Many Shall Come in My Name reveals this is not the case. In fact, quite the opposite has occurred. The New Age movement (a term not normally used by its proponents) has permeated virtually all aspects of our society. This “Ancient Wisdom” spirituality can be quite readily encountered in the following fields: Business, Education, Health, Self- Help, Religion, and Arts & Entertainment. The Church in the Last Days Series - Chris Quintina - Calvary Chapel Cypress

This is an excellent study on the apostasy of the church from my friend and dear brother in Christ, Chris Quintina. 2 Thessalonians 2 says this must happen before Christ will return. The realization of this prophecy has transcended the very fabric of the global church and is clearly evident in the American church. While we have numerous signs directing our attention to the soon return of Jesus the King, the condition of the church is one of the most evident.

This series was conducted over a period of 9 weeks and also includes 2 messages from former New Ager, Warren Smith. These messages are a must-listen if you are curious or serious with learning more about the false teachings, false teachers, and false doctrines that have so deceptively entered the church and have positioned themselves for fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

Prepare yourselves so you can be equipped with discernment should these deceptive teachings enter your own church - if they have not yet already.
