Are You a Defensive Person?

Proverbs 18:12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
         But humility goes before honor. 

Proverbs 15:33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom,
      And before honor is humility. 
 
When someone, specifically another Christian, approaches you about something they are concerned about in your behavior, do you find yourself being defensive and immediately throwing up your guard? This is a result of pride that is keeping you from becoming more Christ-like. If you are not open to correction, how can you possibly mature in your walk with Christ? The truth is, you cannot.
